Condemned to death in backwoods Louisiana in 1948, an innocent young man refuses to act like anything other than the hog his lawyer called him. His godmother asks a local schoolteacher to help him face the electric chair as a man, bringing Grant Wiggins face-to-face with his own life as execution day arrives in Romulus Linney's stage adaptation of Ernest J. Gaines' novel at Lionheart Theatre Company.
