Ball & Chain has anchored Calle Ocho since 1935, and you feel the history the second you walk in: green walls covered in photos of the greats, a house band by the front door, cigars in a lit humidor by the bar. Then you push through to the back and it opens into a leafy patio with a giant clamshell stage shaped like a pineapple, red couches, misting fans, and palm trees.
