DIE DREIGROSCHENOPER
Tue Oct 27, 7:30pm
Weimar satire, fresh bite
✒️"words penetrate like needle pricks"
📖Kristóf wrote it in French after fleeing Hungary in 1956
🎭Small house, balcony seats still offer good views
Ágota Kristóf's wartime classic hits the stage: twin siblings, abandoned at their grandmother's village, train themselves to feel nothing in order to survive. Spare prose, a child's-eye view, and a story that gets under your skin.
Literary adaptation
War drama
Child's perspective
Emotionally intense
