Sunami is an American beatdown hardcore band formed in San Jose, California in 2019. The group grew out of a joke project and quickly became a prominent act in the Bay Area hardcore scene, known for aggressive riffs, slam‑metal influences and tongue‑in‑cheek lyrics. Current members are vocalist Josef Alfonso, guitarist Mike “Durt” Durrett, bassist Theo Dominguez and drummer Benny Eissmann.
