🎬"long-lost, gritty New York"
🏳️🌈"underseen uptown queer classic"
🎥Meet-the-filmmaker discussions happen here
This rare 16mm screening unearths a gritty 1979 portrait of Tally Brown, the opera and blues singer who moved through Andy Warhol's Factory. Rosa von Praunheim's cinéma vérité camera captures Brown's unfiltered reflections on a vanished downtown New York, all from her Washington Heights apartment.
