One of the most important special collections libraries in the country, hiding in plain sight on the UC Berkeley campus. Wander rotating exhibits of rare books, historic manuscripts, and artful archives, or peek into the grand reading room with its carved wood ceiling. The Mark Twain Papers and centuries of Western Americana live here, and admission is free.
