Scissor Cinema: The Watermelon Woman and Saving Face

Mission District

Kick off Pride Month with two nights of iconic lesbian cinema that changed the game. Friday brings Cheryl Dunye's groundbreaking The Watermelon Woman, the first feature by a Black lesbian filmmaker, while Saturday screens Alice Wu's beloved Saving Face. Both evenings serve up themed cocktails, warm community, and zero judgment: tickets are donation-based so everyone can join the celebration.
