Business Development Leader

Business Development·Remote·Fractional or FTE

About the Role

We're searching for a business development lead to help with partnerships in the local/IRL space. With large companies like Airbnb, Bilt, Lyft, and Tegna on the demand side, and Resy, TheFork, Viator, and numerous event venues on the supply side, we're in search of a senior BD expert to help develop pitch materials, organize outreach strategy, and participate in negotiations.

What You'll Do

As our Business Development Leader, you'll lead the strategy and execution of how Outgoing grows its B2B2C customer base and marketplace supply. Key opportunities and responsibilities include:

  • Owning the Partnership Playbook End-to-End: You'll build Outgoing's B2B2C pipeline, from prospecting through closing, working closely with the CEO and other execs. We value hands-on scrappiness over polish: It's a startup, and we're optimized for fast learning.
  • Bridging Digital and IRL: Our product gets people out into the real world, so we'll need to meet partners where they are as well, meaning both online outreach as well as travel industry tradeshows, conferences, and events.
  • Supporting B2B2C Partner Launches: You'll work closely with both product teams on our B2B2C integrations to ensure users convert and stick.
  • Advising on Our Brand Voice: You'll help shape how Outgoing sounds in marcom and partner materials, as well as in-product.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of business development or partnerships experience at a consumer or marketplace company, ideally one with a location-based or real-world component (e.g. travel, hospitality, events, dining, ride-sharing).
  • A track record closing enterprise and platform partnerships on both the demand side (large B2B2C platforms) and the supply side (booking providers and event venues).
  • Hands-on deal experience: you build the pitch materials, run the outreach, and lead negotiations through to signed agreements.
  • A relevant network across travel, local commerce, and entertainment that you can activate from day one.
  • Strong commercial instincts: you structure deals, weigh the economics, and prioritize the partners that move the business.

Our Culture

We're a team that values collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and strong empathy. You'll thrive here if you:

  • Are a scrappy operator: You don't wait for a perfect brief. You build the pitch, open the conversation, and move deals forward with whatever's available.
  • Think in systems, not just tactics: You see how individual partnerships connect into a distribution strategy. A durable pipeline matters more to you than a single logo.
  • Communicate with range: You can pitch a Fortune 500 partner and brief a remote founding team with equal clarity. You adapt your voice without losing the message.
  • Are obsessed with our users: You're building partnerships for a consumer product that genuinely improves people's lives. That mission matters to you, and it shows in every deal.

Work Setup

We are a remote-first team operating across EMEA timezones (HQ in Paris) and communicating in English. We're open to leaders based in Europe or the US.

About Outgoing

Outgoing is connecting AI to the real world, aggregating discovery and booking for the $2T activities and entertainment ecosystem. Our Local AI stack continually crawls the web and social media to capture the high-quality ephemeral events that search, chatbots, and social media miss: the workshops, pop-ups, exhibitions, and one-night-only performances that make cities unique and memorable. The agent can then be integrated/embedded into large platforms like Amex Travel, Bilt, and Lyft, or pushed directly to consumers.

Founded by Google execs and serial entrepreneurs Mark Risher (founded+sold Impermium, led Google Identity & Security platforms) and Rob Spiro (founded+sold Aardvark & GoodEggs, co-founded numerous startups through Imagination Machine), the team has active integrations with large B2C partners using our platform to drive engagement and revenue for their local and travel use cases, and a consumer-facing push channel that fuels the graph. With this AI stack, Outgoing is finally cracking hyperlocal discovery to get people off their screens and out experiencing the real world.

Growth Marketer

Marketing·Remote (EMEA timezone)·Full-time

About the Role

Do you want to use AI to get people off their screens and out having real-life experiences? Have you grown a consumer product that touches the physical world, where the metrics that matter aren't tied to endless scrolling? Are you excited by the idea of using those skills to build something genuinely good for people: a product that gets them to put away phones and go out into the real world?

Outgoing is an AI-powered concierge for real-world experiences. We're looking for a hands-on Growth Marketer to own user acquisition and engagement from the ground up. You'll be our first dedicated growth hire — working directly with the founders to build the growth playbook that helps get more people unplug and discover amazing IRL experiences. It's a rare chance to define the growth function from day one at a company with proprietary technology, two prior exits to Google, and partnerships with some of the largest consumer platforms in the world.

What You'll Do

As our Growth Marketer, you'll lead the strategy and execution of how Outgoing grows its consumer base across digital channels, partner-driven distribution, and IRL activations. Key opportunities and responsibilities include:

  • Owning the Growth Playbook End-to-End: You'll build Outgoing's growth function from scratch: defining strategy, running experiments, and iterating fast. We value scrappiness over polish; this is a role where you ship campaigns, measure what works, and move on from what doesn't.
  • Bridging Digital and IRL: Our product gets people out into the real world, and our growth strategy should reflect that. You'll run the full stack of online (paid acquisition, SEO/ASO/AEO/content, email/lifecycle, referral loops) and local activations that build density city by city.
  • Supporting B2B2C Partner Launches: You'll work closely with both product teams on our B2B2C integrations to ensure users convert and stick.
  • Owning the Metrics That Matter: We're data driven, so you'll define the framework and measurement approach for user acquisition, activation, retention, and referral.
  • Building Our Brand Voice: You'll help shape how Outgoing sounds across every channel, from in-product to social media to partner materials.

What We're Looking For

  • 4–6 years of hands-on growth, product marketing, or performance marketing experience at a consumer company -- ideally one with a location-based or real-world component (e.g. food delivery, ride-sharing, events/hospitality, travel).
  • Experience building a growth function You've operated at early- or mid-stage and know what it's like to figure things out without a playbook or a big budget.
  • Comfort across the full growth stack: SEO/ASO/AEO/content, email and push-notifications, channel partnerships, and ideally some experience with IRL activations or local marketing.
  • Strong analytical instincts: you design A/B experiments, read dashboards, and make decisions from data.

Our Culture

We're a team that values collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and strong empathy. You'll thrive here if you:

  • Are a scrappy operator: You don't wait for a perfect brief. You prototype campaigns, test channels, and drive results with whatever's available.
  • Think in systems, not just tactics: You see how individual campaigns and features connect into something bigger. Sustainable growth matters more to you than a spike.
  • Communicate with range: You can write for a diverse user base and present to a remote team with equal clarity. You adapt your voice without losing the message.
  • Are obsessed with our users: You're building growth for a consumer product that genuinely improves people's lives. That mission matters to you, and it shows in every touchpoint.

Work Setup

We are a remote-first team operating across EMEA timezones (HQ in Paris) and communicating in English. This is a full-time role with competitive salary, benefits, and equity.

Whom You'll Work With

We're seasoned entrepreneurs and engineers from some of the largest consumer technology companies. You'll work alongside:

Mark, Rob, Cécile, Juan, Ludo, Naveen, and more.

Does the idea of building growth for a product that brings people together excite you? We'd love to hear from you!
