Sue Dorfman spent eight years and 24,000 miles capturing democracy in action: voter registration drives, poll workers, rallies, and the communities fighting for representation. Her photographs confront the ongoing struggle for voting rights across 24 states, from Selma to the Capitol on January 6. The exhibition lives outdoors in Brooklyn Bridge Park, inviting passersby to pause and consider what it takes to keep a democracy running.
