  • Collaborators: Sean Stevens, Chief Research Advisor at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), and Professor Kenneth Lowande of the University of Michigan.
  • Activity Description: This event will examine the state of free expression on college campuses through research, faculty perspective, and student dialogue. The conversation will cover FIRE’s research on free speech at the University of Michigan and in higher education, increasing polarization on campuses, the limits of free expression in and out of the classroom, and constructive ways for students, faculty, and institutions to navigate disagreement. The event will include opening remarks from each speaker, a moderated discussion, and an audience Q&A, aiming for thoughtful dialogue across perspectives.
