  • Activity Description: This event will explore a groundbreaking and secretive initiative to create the first complete and accurate map of everything beneath New York City’s streets, including water and sewer lines, electrical conduits, and natural gas pipelines. Currently, construction crews frequently encounter unexpected infrastructure, causing delays and costs. This mapping effort aims to bring transparency to the subsurface and transform how the city builds, maintains, and protects its infrastructure. The event will feature a presentation followed by a moderated conversation and audience Q&A with representatives from the DDC.
