La Nouvelle troupe du plateau de Saclay: A theater troupe composed of students from Université Paris-Saclay, directed by Julie Timmerman.
La Scène de recherche is preparing to close its fourth season, having hosted over 4,900 spectators since September 2024. The venue aims to be as accessible as possible, offering a multidisciplinary program that includes theater, circus, magic, and dance. A key feature of its programming is the integration of arts and sciences, encompassing fields such as physics, biology, sociology, and history, with the goal of being artistic, entertaining, and educational.
Beyond presenting shows, La Scène de recherche supports creation by co-producing projects and hosting companies in residence. Since last summer, eleven companies have utilized the venue, with five of them presenting their work to the public, notably during the "Festins du mardi midi." These monthly events feature a 30-minute performance followed by a discussion and a buffet.
La Scène de recherche also fosters talent through its own student theater troupe, La Nouvelle troupe du plateau de Saclay. Under the direction of Julie Timmerman, the troupe performed a play inspired by "Les Héritiers" by Pierre Bourdieu and Jean-Claude Passeron in March. Additionally, a free theater workshop is offered to the entire student community from September to March.
