Aadyam Theatre presents this playful adaptation of Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone, directed by Mohit Takalkar and starring Dilnaz Irani. Set in a tiny Mumbai café, the play follows Asha Parekh, a struggling actress from Surat who answers the ringing phone of a customer who has just died. What begins as an innocent act draws her into the many lives he leaves behind—fragile truths, shifting identities, and unexpected connections. With live music, a narrator, and a dynamic ensemble including Vrajesh Hirjee, Faezah Jalali, Sagar Deshmukh, and Bhaskar Sharma, the production moves through crowded temples, narrow lanes, and quiet seafronts as Asha speaks in the dead man's place, inventing stories and offering comfort.
