Philharmonia Baroque's Music Director Peter Whelan launches his debut season with Handel's rarely performed Tolomeo, a gripping tale of political intrigue and love featuring countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen. Performed on period instruments with Italian supertitles, this semi-staged production brings audiences closer to the sound world Handel's first listeners knew nearly 300 years ago.
