This exhibition offers a fascinating journey into the world of Birds of Paradise, creatures that have captivated the world for five centuries. It traces the circulation of their feathers and representations from the lush forests of New Guinea to the works of great masters. The exhibition brings together nearly 190 works, including adornments, paintings, naturalized specimens, fashion pieces and accessories, art objects, and illustrated books. It explores the perspectives of natural history, art, ethnology, fashion, and ecology, inviting visitors to rethink their connections with living things and contemporary knowledge.
