Doowon Lee: Too Many Animals

Chelsea

Self-taught South Korean artist Doowon Lee packs canvases with tigers, leopards, frogs, and birds using wool from Pakistan, hemp from Nepal, and khadi cotton from India. His second ACA solo show is deliberately dense, noisy, and refreshingly direct: no quiet negative space, no complex metaphors, just a humorous world where nature, animals, and humans stand as equals.
