- Activity Description: These meditation conferences offer an opportunity to delve into a specific theme and experience the benefits of meditation as practiced in this school. Participants will learn to identify, reduce, and replace stressful mind states with peaceful and constructive ones. The series is based on "Eight Steps to Happiness" by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, an inspiring book that explains how to meditate on "The Eight Verses of Training the Mind," a Buddhist teaching composed by the great Tibetan bodhisattva Geshe Langri Tangpa. This short poem reveals powerful meditations for cultivating extraordinary benevolence and compassion, a method proven for centuries. Regular practice is said to lead to deep and lasting joy, even amidst difficulties, and to enable individuals to offer the best version of themselves to others. These ancient instructions are adapted for the modern world. The conference structure includes a guided breathing meditation to calm the mind, followed by the main conference, a guided meditation on the evening's theme, and a Q&A session. Those who wish can stay for a discussion and collation prepared by volunteers after the conference.
- Language: French
- Online Access: The conferences are also available online via YouTube. Online courses are broadcast live only, with no possibility of rewatching. Access requires a Meditation Pass subscription. Subscribers commit not to share, record, or copy the link.
