Brooklyn's rotating cast of yoga teachers leads free outdoor sessions where hundreds gather weekly on the Long Meadow to stretch and unwind together. The 2026 season brings a different instructor each Thursday evening, each bringing their own style and energy to the meadow. All levels are genuinely welcome here, from first-timers wondering which way is down dog to seasoned practitioners seeking community practice. Bring your own mat or towel, a water bottle, and perhaps a friend or two. The atmosphere is relaxed and communal rather than competitive, with the grass beneath you and the sky above. One RSVP and signed waiver covers your entire season, so register once and drop in anytime June through August. Enter via Garfield Street and Prospect Park West or the Grand Army Plaza Entrance, then follow the path to the North Long Meadow.
