Musée de l'Homme

Passy

The Musée de l'Homme sits in the Palais de Chaillot with the Eiffel Tower gazing back at you through tall windows. Founded by anthropologist Paul Rivet in 1938, this interactive museum tackles three deceptively simple questions: Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? Fossil skulls, prehistoric tools, and cultural artifacts trace our evolution across millennia, while displays let you listen to world languages, climb like Lucy the Australopithecus, or compare brains from lizard to elephant to human.
