Activity Description

"Trance Therapy" is a 1 hour 39 minute documentary by Cindy Gzaiel. The film follows Gzaiel's journey at age 20, as she leaves Paris for the Golan mountains in August 2016. There, she encounters a pacifist youth who have found refuge in the wild territory, each carrying invisible wounds. Together, they engage in a form of therapy by dancing day and night in wild raves. The documentary captures Gzaiel's immersive experience as she confronts her own intimate trauma amidst chaos and ecstasy. It is described as a raw and hypnotic journey where music and transcendence become a means of survival and healing.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with director Cindy Gzaiel.
