Every Memorial Day weekend, Avenue C transforms into a seven-block celebration of Latinx and immigrant culture. Since 1987, this free street festival has drawn 15,000+ neighbors to enjoy live music, street theater, artisan vendors, and the defiant spirit of Tato Laviera's "AmeRícan" identity. The 2026 poster is designed by local artist Maite Nazario, carrying forward a neighborhood tradition born from two worlds.
