Activity Description

"PYJAMA GIRLS" is a 2010 Irish feature documentary by Maya Derrington, focusing on two teenagers, Lauren and Tara, navigating their challenging upbringings in Dublin's inner-city flats. The film explores their friendship, family environments, and urban community under impoverished conditions, highlighting their rejection of societal norms by proudly wearing pajamas in public. The film is presented in a verité style. This screening marks its return to NYC after 15 years, last shown at the Brooklyn Film Festival.
