Marigot

CM2 students from Hervé Williams elementary school built a 4.2-meter replica of an 18th-century animal-powered mill to share the history of slavery and sugar production on Saint Martin. The wooden mill features a digital display that brings this difficult chapter to life through a child-made lens: history lessons, literally constructed by small hands.
