Marcos Valle is a Brazilian pop renaissance man, singer/songwriter/producer who emerged from the early bossa nova era and later blended samba, MPB, rock, funk and disco. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1943, he achieved international hits such as “Samba de Verão” and released influential albums like 1968’s Samba ’68 and 1971’s Garra. In recent years he has collaborated with artists like Azymuth, Moreno Veloso and his wife Patricia Alvi, and recorded the Jazz Is Dead label project JID 003 in 2020.
