Daniel Harding, born 1975 in Oxford, is a leading British conductor who has served as Music Director of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia since the 2024/25 season and has led the orchestra in its performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 in 2027. He has held principal positions with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and has conducted major orchestras worldwide including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
