Dengue Fever revives the wild energy of 1960s Cambodian surf rock with fuzztone guitars, heavy organ, and the soaring Khmer vocals of former pop star Chhom Nimol. Expect a danceable, psychedelic set that feels like a spy movie soundtrack gone gloriously global.

Dengue Fever

Los Angeles indie rock band mixing 60s Cambodian rock, garage psychedelia, and surf‑spy sounds

Headliner

Formed in Los Angeles in 2001, Dengue Fever was inspired by organist Ethan Holtzman’s 1997 trip to Cambodia and the 60s-era Cambodian rock he discovered there. The band blends that vintage Cambodian pop with Nuggets‑style garage rock, psychedelic surf, and Bollywood film‑musical influences, fronted by Khmer‑language vocalist Chhom Nimol, a former Cambodian pop star.
