๐ŸŽจ"My work doesn't hide behind complex metaphors. It's just heavy tents, rough wool, and too many animals. Really, too many."
๐ŸงถPainted on wool from Pakistan, hemp from Nepal, and khadi cotton from India
๐Ÿ…Expect zero quiet negative space

Doowon Lee's canvases erupt with tigers, leopards, frogs, and fish, all jostling for space in compositions that refuse to settle down. The self-taught Korean artist paints on wool, hemp, and khadi cotton gathered from travels across Pakistan, Nepal, and India, layering natural fibers with Korean ink to create dense, unruly surfaces where humor and abundance win out over quiet metaphor.
