Place de l'Hôtel de ville

Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne

A Renaissance gallery that can't stay put. This 1527 façade by architect Nicolas Chabouillé was sold, dismantled, and shuffled around for centuries before finally returning to Moret in 1956. Now it lives quietly in the Hôtel de Ville courtyard, a well-traveled piece of architectural history.
