Sunset Park

Friese Undine's solo show turns nostalgia inside out with over 70 etched metal compositions. The artist invented a technique of spray-painting and painstakingly etching sheets to create grainy, textural scenes: Viking-helmeted women sharing beers, samurai families in RVs. Playful yet uneasy, the works probe how we romanticize the past.
