This is the New York Premiere of "My Father and Qaddafi," a raw and reflective documentary that won the Jury Prize at the Marrakech International Film Festival. The film follows director Jihan as she investigates the disappearance of her father, Mansur Rashid Kikhia, a peaceful opposition leader to Qaddafi, when she was six years old. The documentary pieces together her mother's 19-year search for him, tracing her journey, encountering family and peers, and revisiting historical archives to uncover the troubled history and politics of Libya. The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, is 88 minutes long. A screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Jihan.
