Preserved by Third World Newsreel and newly digitized, the film documents the student occupation of five Columbia University buildings in April 1968. This protest, led by Students for a Democratic Society and the Society of Afro-American Students, highlighted Columbia's links to Vietnam War funding and a proposed gymnasium project in Morningside Heights. The revolt led to the university abandoning the gymnasium project and disaffiliating from the Institute for Defense Analyses.
