Activity Description

This new commission by Eunjo Lee is inspired by the V&A’s historic Buddhist art collection. It envisions a future where AI and data reshape spiritual awakenings and non-human consciousness. The installation combines ancient heritage with contemporary technology, exploring our relationship with non-human consciousness and spiritual truths. Through a digitally sculpted film, Lee examines concepts of Zen, karma, and impermanence from Buddhism, presenting digital, shamanistic deities as evolving cosmic worlds. These deities also manifest as sculptures, partially 3D printed from recycled clay, featuring interactive design elements that encourage audience participation and reflection. The display is part of V&A x LDF 2026.
