Make Music New York's 20th Anniversary returns with "Plaza by Plaza," a series of free concerts activating public spaces across the city. At Marcy Plaza in Brooklyn, three distinct artists take the stage throughout the day: J La Sol opens with hip-hop and poetry, Unison Steel brings dynamic steelpan arrangements spanning R&B, funk, and pop, and sou closes with a genre-fluid set blending hip-hop, jazz, and R&B through live instrumentation and raw performance.
This event is part of a broader citywide activation in partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation, celebrating New York's cultural diversity through live music in outdoor public plazas. No tickets required—just show up and let the music happen.
