- Activity Description: This three-hour online craft lab explores the relationship between language and land, examining how they shape each other and how language maps a sense of place. Participants will investigate how poetry can map interior cartographies, memory, community, and meaning, drawing inspiration from works by authors such as Dionne Brand, Don Mee Choi, Fady Joudah, Saretta Morgan, Mai Der Vang, Jasminne Mendez, and Anthony Cody. The session is primarily lecture-based, but includes guided writing activities and a Q&A with the instructor. A cloud recording of the craft lab will be available for one month after the event.
- Suitability: Open to writers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Attendees will not be on video but can interact via chat.
