Cinderella (Cendrillon)
Wed Nov 4
Fairy tale opera
Burns Park, Ann Arbor
🎭"unlike anything I've seen in a theater before" (Jenn McKee)
⏳First act builds slow, embraces the weird later
A former bear-baiting escapee fights for the right to perform in Shakespeare's theater. This darkly surreal production imagines Imogen—a character mentioned but never seen in "Much Ado"—in an apocalyptic funhouse version of Elizabethan England.
