West Texas Exiles are an Austin‑based five‑member band featuring songwriters Marco Gutierrez, Daniel Davis and Colin Gilmore, bassist Eric Harrison and drummer Trinidad Leal. They draw on the wide‑open western reaches of Texas, blending Southwestern rock ’n’ roll with Americana, Tejano, Conjunto, and influences ranging from the Pogues to the British Invasion. Their debut EP (2023) and upcoming full‑length album “8000 Days” have been supported by a residency at Austin’s Continental Club and appearances at SXSW, Americanafest, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
