The 39th annual Loisaida Festival turns Avenue C into a free, all-day Puerto Rican block party with Grammy-winning jazz, Afro-Brazilian percussion parades, and over 20 local artisans. This year's theme "Our AmeRícan Thing" honors poet Jesús "Tato" Laviera while celebrating the neighborhood's Puerto Rican, African, and Caribbean roots.
