Musical WorkshopHandpan Workshop 1: Introduction to Handpan (Beginner)
September 11 at 12pm
Edgewater, Chicago
Ever wanted to make music on a flying saucer? This 75-minute workshop teaches you to coax resonant, hypnotic tones from the handpan, a curved steel instrument that sounds like a steel drum crossed with a singing bowl. You'll learn proper striking techniques, simple rhythms, and even how to use it in meditative music, no instrument or experience required.
