Khachaturian’s Exuberant Violin Concerto
October 10 at 7:30pm
Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego
Two mountain-inspired masterpieces share one stage: Khachaturian's Violin Concerto whirls with wild Caucasus folk dances, then Bruckner's Ninth Symphony rises like the Alps in cathedral-sized sound. Violinist Sergey Khachatryan and conductor Rafael Payare lead the charge.
