Jean-Paul Rouve brings tender, childlike wonder to Molière's satire of social climbing, in a production that favors song, dance, and sheer spectacle over moral lecturing. The Théâtre du Gymnase fills with color, energy, and the slight madness of a troupe clearly having as much fun as the audience.
