OperaGluck's 1754 opéra-comique Le cinesi sends up the operatic styles of his era, from tragic to heroic, through a playful musical contest between three Chinese women and a young man. Expect Rococo exoticism, elegant humor, and a rare chance to hear this spirited parody in the palace itself.
